Reports To: Regional Director 

Location: Becht Givens Service Experts, 2999 Industrial Pkwy, Jeffersonville, IN 47130

Salary: $80,000-$90,000 per year

Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and direct the overall operations of the Branch
  • Accountable for the KPIs of the Branch, to include but not limited to:
  • Safety
  • Labor Productivity and Efficiency
  • Customer Satisfaction and Call Backs
  • Employee Retention
  • SE Standards (appearance, process, etc.)
  • Sales and Operating Budget
  • Membership growth and Advantage performance
  • Others as defined by Director of Field Implementation
  • Evaluate strengths and opportunities of the service and installation departments and maintain a staffing level consistent with business activity.
  • Execute sales, operations, and safety training plans.
  • Handle customer service complaints in a professional manner with the focus on “more than satisfied customers” in all decisions.
  • Establish and maintain center sales culture  
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to recruit, hire and train all branch employees (techs and installers ).
  • Assist Service Technicians, Installers and other technical staff with problems as necessary and ensure key processes are created/maintained ensuring department effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain active roles in the local community (business networking organizations, community activity involvement, etc.).
  • Provide leadership, direction and support for the Branch
  • Diagnoses and performs services on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and water heater equipment as well as accessories in an accurate and timely manner
  • Inspects equipment and performs diagnostics on equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callback’s
  • Completes routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed or required
  • Responsible for delivery of excellent customer service and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Meeting monthly service and replacement sales quotas
  • Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are being used, maintained, and properly accounted for
  • Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities
  • Follows standard procedures and process, ensures that the company vehicle is properly stocked
  • Performs similar/other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ideally, will possess strong people management, leadership and professional skills and experience
  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills. 
  • Training and coaching skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and planning skills.
  • Aptitude and knowledge to gain knowledge of servicing & installing residential HVAC equipment and accessories.
  • Demonstrated the ability to lead by example or previous leadership experience
  • Good understanding and overall knowledge of the HVAC/Water Heater  industry.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the delivery of customer-focused service & installations.
  • EPA and safety certifications required
  • Skilled at servicing heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as well as related accessories
  • Proficient and able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various service projects
  • Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting problems with electrical, and duct systems on HVAC equipment
  • Proficient and able to properly start up and balance airflow on all systems with little to no supervision
  • Proficient at troubleshooting and repairing electronic air cleaners, hot water systems, steam boiler systems, humidifiers, and related equipment with little to no supervision
  • Effective communication skills to communicate with customer and resolve customer issues, complaints, or concerns
  • Effective and efficient time-management and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
  • Ability to stand and walk and to climb ladders and attic stairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces to access HVAC units. Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to the following: hot, cold, outdoor, indoor, dry, humid, slippery surfaces, heights, and congested areas
  • Ability to safely climb 300lb load capacity rated ladders with a 30lb tool belt
  • Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

Minimum Education

  • Ideally will possess a post-secondary degree/diploma in a business or technical field.
