Reports to:                 Sr. Manager, Product & Service Delivery

Location:                    Richardson, TX (Remote will be considered)

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner who will act as a voice of the end-user, representing the needs of Finance & Operations to identify, create, document, and prioritize user stories in the product backlog. This Product Owner will foster an innovative, inclusive and diverse team environment, promoting positive team culture, encouraging collaboration and self-organization while collaborating with the technical and functional delivery teams. The Product Owner is ultimately responsible for the delivery of D365 solutions in support of Service Expert’s business objectives.

The qualified candidate will have a passion for innovation and a customer-focused mindset. Strong project management and problem-solving skills are a must as the Product Owner will work directly with customers, stakeholders, technology, and go-to-market teams in a cross-functional, Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for the end-user throughout the program
  • Represent the needs of Finance and Operations to identify, create, document and prioritize user stories in the product backlog
  • Work directly with senior management, practice leaders and other stakeholders representing the D365 ecosystem of solutions
  • Partner with the D365 technical team, to lead and manage the successful delivery of enhancements as defined in sprint and release planning in or to meet or exceed defined success criteria
  • Collaborate with executives, product and service delivery team, and operations to align on requirements and manage the backlog to effectively meet their tactical and strategic objectives
  • Work directly with senior management, practice leaders and other stakeholders to prioritize the backlog to meet Service Expert’s tactical and strategic goals
  • Collaborate with the technical and functional delivery teams grooming the product backlog and planning release management
  • Provide feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements and contribute to removing roadblocks or impediments
  • Participate in identifying opportunities for continuous team and process improvement
  • Communicate and champion product benefits to senior management, practice leaders and other stakeholders
  • Work directly with senior management, practice leaders and other stakeholders to document user stories ensuring a clear understanding of requirements and success criteria
  • Facilitate backlog refinement and story creation with the scrum/agile team(s)
  • Act as a champion, trusted advisor, and change agent for business processes
  • Participate in QA testing and User Acceptance Testing
  • Ensure all programs deliver the outcome needed by the business
  • Partner closely with training team to develop training curriculum
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree required in related field or Master’s degree in a related field
  • 4+ years of experience operating in a Product Owner role
  • Product management experience a plus
  • Thorough knowledge and experience working with Agile approaches required (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
  • Demonstrated expertise creating and maintaining User Stories, Product Backlogs and Product Roadmaps
  • Demonstrated ability to balance the delivery of projects against the realities of limited resources using problem solving, project management and creative resourcefulness
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate verbal and written communications across all levels of an organization in both an individual and group setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentations, project plans, and status reports
  • Exhibits expert presence being comfortable delivering and defending analyses and recommendations to management and stakeholders
  • Exhibit a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that encourages productive and positive interactions with customers, co-workers and supervisors
  • Deals well with ambiguity and intensity and thrives in a fast-paced environment driven by senior leadership requests and evolving needs
  • Ability to collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research
